Oh, right. I nearly forgot.

Last weekend, in between doing my work and rolling around in my bed of pain thanks to the 'painters'.. I got a call from Lyd whose first words went something like "Have you heard? The rumor about the Edward Scissorhands remake? I heard they're putting Robert Pattinson in it."

To which my reply was "What the *&#^$*?!"

Seriously. Whoever who plans on doing an Edward Scissorhands remake, unless it has been stamped and approved by Tim Burton himself, should just get over that idea. Fast. Even if a remake is inevitable, for the love of all that's holy, please don't cast Robert Pattinson. He wasn't even that good as Edward Cullen, I really don't think he can take over Johnny Depp's role. In fact, I'm actually starting to be tired of Twilight, because of all the hype.
He'd better not ruin a Tim Burton film for me.

I also heard it could be a prequel to the original movie, Lyd says maybe the movie tells us why the scientist created Edward. I don't know about anyone else, but in the movie, they already hinted at his reason to create Edward which I thought was pretty clear.. So I really don't see the need for prequels. Or sequels. Plus Vincent Price is dead. Who else can they get to play the role of the scientist? Ian McKellen?

I know I should stop but..

... dinner with Sugizo?!?
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
.....
I'll admit it.
I'm really really jealous.
Oh, the things I would do... just to be able to see him.

Been watching World Cup everyday. And I can't help but think.. while I'm here trying to get through everyday thinking assignments are the most important part of my life, there are people on the other side of Earth whose lives are changing at this instant, on a much bigger scale, depending on just a match.
When England lost, and the commentator said something along the lines of Gerrard, Rooney and a few others who may not return for World Cup in the next 4 years, it made me feel sad.
Because this was their final shot, and they just lost it for good.
Imagine how that must feel.

It makes me (and what I'm doing now) feel rather insignificant.
Like why should it matter if I manage to pass or not?
I still think its weird how the course of our lives is not what we make of it, but we rely on a mere slip of paper to tell us whether we will fail or succeed in life.
How delusional is that?
And the fact that I'm doing exactly what I don't believe in, just because society and everyone else demands it of me.
That makes this 'war' rather meaningless, don't you think?
Like I'm running... chasing after something, then I stop to take a breather and I wonder what it is I'm actually chasing after. Is it really something I want, or am I doing it only because I see everyone else running after it?

I'm beginning to believe you can really hear me.

I have no idea why the later I sleep, the earlier I wake.
Slept at about 5am after the Spain match, and I woke up at 930.
Since I was up so early, I drove to BookXcess with my mom to check out their latest books.

I feel like this week has been about finally getting some of the things I've wanted for a long while.
Like finally finding the star globe and yesterday BookXcess posted a picture of their latest arrivals in FB and I found out they brought in Calvin and Hobbes!!!
I did wish BookXcess would bring in C&H eventually, but since they usually only gets over-printed stocks, I wasn't sure if they would ever have it... so this is pretty lucky (again) :D
Those books are priced at RM60-80 in Kinokuniya but now I got 2 for less than RM50 T_T <-- tears of joy
My wallet thanks me.

This is the star constellation globe. Its really pretty :)
Except I don't know if the one in Kinokuniya resembles this.

Made my day :)

I found the illuminated star constellation globe!!!! T_T <---- tears of happiness

Went to Kino with Lyd in the evening so she can get her book and we ended up having dinner together.
I was just telling her about not being able to find the globe around here when we were walking out the bookstore, and I saw it by the cashier. Talk about a lucky find :D
80 bucks, slightly smaller than the one I wanted. But also cheaper than what I had expected.
Ahh~
I suspect there's only one left.
Please don't let anyone be interested in constellation globes.
At least not until I buy that thing.

Finally..

..its the weekend.
And I've added another 3 assignments to the list.
Ugh. And of course, I totally embarrassed myself during presentation on Wednesday, because we had to speak to the crowd + video camera. Mr Redzwan said "Since this is an advertising class, we're gonna be recording your presentations." Basically, I screwed up and it was caught on tape.
Lovely.

Staying up late into the night downloading Yaoi.
Because MangaTraders is fine again :D
Was reading Okane ga Nai..

Honda: *points at Ayase* she's the President's woman, isn't she? She looks like my little sister who's in middle school, you know? Thats why I just can't stand by while school girl prostitution is going on!
Kuba-san: Ayase-san is 18 years old! And while we're on the topic, he is A MAN!
Honda: What the hell did you just say?! They're doing a Brokeback Mountain?!
*Kuba-san hits Honda with a wrench*

Hahahahaha. I want to read this in Jappy.

MangaTraders is down! x_x
I can't get my daily Yaoi fix.

Finishing up my postcard design for Minor. Presentation on Wednesday.
Ugh. I'm dreading it. Especially cause the class is huge.
Pray I don't trip. Or embarrass myself. Which I do very often. Ask Lyd.

On a random note, I want to watch Phantom of the Opera :)

Some Japanese restaurant in Harbourfront, Singapore.

Overthinking it again..

The other day, during my site visit in KL, Lyd and I were talking about colors. And it got me thinking... that the characteristics of color combinations can be used to describe different human relationships. There are monochromatic colors; variations of colors of the same hue, which I think describes people who look for partners of similar temperament and interest. Analogous; colors located adjacent to each other, I think describes relationships that evolve from friendship, people you are already comfortable with. And my favorite, contrast colors; colors opposite each other in the color wheel. Lyd calls them complementary colors (actually, so does everyone). She says by putting two strong colors together, one dulls the other, thus making it complementary. I don't think so, though. Two colors that are strong on their own don't dull the other, but rather, they balance each other and create the most vibrant combination of all. And I think that's the best.

I consider myself a purple, which is a contrast color, so I'm waiting for yellow to show up :)
Haha. This gives you something to think about, yeah.
I wonder what color do you consider yourselves.

My favorite photograph of Sugizo, from the Singapore exhibition. How sad he looks.

Oh! Lyd and I found this shop in Central Market selling a big-ass polaroid camera. Which is way better than the credit-card sized ones. Except the price is RM499. I'd have to go without books (or good food) for a few months if I want to buy this. Hmm.. considering it...

Beginning to feel a certain dislike for Tuesdays.
Every semester, classes on Tuesdays are always morning-evening, then I rush home for a quick jump into the shower (if I'm lucky), and go straight to Jappy class until 9.
Ugh.
And it turns out I was wrong when I originally thought I was taking 4 subjects this semester.
I'm actually taking 6.
Again.
Life's an absolute bitch.

Have to write a 2-page something for Research class.
I say 'something' because knowing Mr Redzwan, he may not want just a plain ol' essay from us.
Haven't quite figured out how to write this yet.

"What would you do if you are not an Interior Designer?"
Hmm..
Historian comes to mind almost immediately.
I may not write History but I might consider teaching.
Hotel/Tourism?
Set/Exhibition design?
Event?

Gah. Gotta go Jappy now.

I am back.
Awesome trip.
Though my legs do not agree.

Awesome exhibition.
Sugizo is <3
Unexpected find = Mint Museum of Toys.
Showcasing 4 floors worth of all the collections of vintage toys from wayy back to now, and from different countries. Sweet.

Logged in and checked my results yesterday. Awesome.
A+ for History!! (Notice how I don't really bother about Design)
But everything else in general has improved. So yay~ \o\|o|/o/

I'm going to sleep.
